I typed “interesting facts about Indonesia” at Google Search and found information galore.

There were all kinds. About the Java Man, the largest flower on Earth, the tiniest fish, the mightiest volcano explosion, the 3 foot tall “Hobbit” unlike man fossils, the rediscovery of the coelacanth once thought to be totally extinct and so on.

Masturbation

Next, I typed “interesting facts about sex in Indonesia” at Google Search. Although all the links used the plural as in “facts”, there is only one mentioned. It is repeated through pages and pages on the Internet.

It is,

The penalty for masturbation in Indonesia is decapitation.

?

That can be regarded as derisive if not amusing because Indonesia is the fourth largest population on Earth. What? 270 million Indonesians and only one interesting fact? And a fatal one too!

Oh! the self-effacing Indonesians. They don’t want the world to know. Well, not through the Internet.

Caution and Clarification Needed

By the way, I am not sure whether that prohibition is still in force. Please, will someone clarify or this might turn out to be my last article at IM. I plan to be in Indonesia soon. tsk tsk, you know, better safe than dead.

Aphrodisiacs

Wherever in Indonesian towns, there is the mobile peddler who offers immediate concoctions of jamu (herbal medicine) and numerous shops that sell jamu products for enhancing body shape and beauty, treating physical ailments and none of them would be without the power stimulants for either male or female.

From conversations with Indonesians, they relate to me some amazing facts about the potency of sex cures and stimulants that are found at various locations, acclaimed for its creation and subsequently earned fame.

These are examples of what I have been told.

Cure for erectile dysfunction

Somewhere in West Java, (I’ve forgotten the name of the place) it’s near Bandung, there is a place where one could be cured for erectile dysfunction.

Seks Madura

Madura is famous for potions that enhance vaginal performance. Regarding their potency in providing tightness in the vagina, it is claimed that even after sex, the vagina can be seen pulsating. I have heard that the Indonesians extol the Madurese skill and refer to it as “Seks Madura”. (wink, wink, should I send my wife to Madura for an overhaul?)

Penile Inserts

That it is the genital enhancement practice among an Indonesian tribe where their males lacerate or pierce their frenum (the underside of the shaft of the penis) in order to embed it with objects. I leave the rest of this to your imaginings.

Free Sex

At the top of Gunung Kemukus is a the tomb of Prince Samodra (a kind hearted Javanese prince). The belief is that by visiting and praying to him, wishes could be fulfilled. At night as part of the ritual, one must need have sex with someone other than one’s spouse as part of the ritual. Many couples pre-arrange their sex meet on these nights or many women also seek their own partner. Sex is done at many of the wooden shacks that is for rent. Sex could also be done under the trees if it gives one a greater kick or if one thinks that one has really something different to show.

My Indonesian friend lives nearby where Gunung Kemukus, wrote to inform me that there is a second free sex location in Central Java.

Here is what he emailed me:

The place is only 1.5 hours from Cepu where I got my Diploma. It is one of two famous places for ’sex for free’ in Central Java. Usually, they do that not for money like PSK (prostitutes). It is the conditions which must be fulfilled from Central Java’s myth where they got pesugihan in Kemukus mountain.
Another place like it is in Jepon village, 30 minutes South Rembang.
